The Environment Agency has announced that it will extend the deadline to the end of July for organisations that want to disaggregate under the Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme. However, those that wish to take advantage of this will need to email the Environment Agency to indicate their intent. The original deadline was 30th June 2010.
Disaggregation enables businesses with several subsidiaries to register them as separate participants in the scheme, which could potentially make administration of the scheme easier. In particular, it could make it easier to gather and analyse the required energy data from smaller units, rather than across a large estate.
